Overview

Ruta de los Volcanes, Puebla

La Purificadora, an industrial building, dating from 1884, formerly used as a water and ice production factory, was spectacularly transformed by the renowned Mexican Architect Ricardo Legorreta. Today it is the most avant-garde hotel in Puebla.

Located in the oldest square of the Historical Center, right next to the Church of San Francisco and behind the Convention Center.  La Purificadora has the best terrace in town to enjoy beautiful sights of the Puebla cathedral domes and historical architecture.  It is also a few steps away from the Contemporary Art Gallery that hosts a beautiful sculpture exhibit surrounded by cacti for those who love art and nature.

La Purificadora Restaurant with its impressive volcanic quarry floor is renowned for its contemporary authentic Mexican cuisine. Communal tables made out of wooden beams that were once part of the old water treatment plant today allow the experience to share fantastic food in a friendly environment within an atmosphere that conveys peace, transformation and intimacy.
