Ruta de los Volcanes, Morelos
Formerly the country house of playwright Margarita Urueta Sierra in the 1930s, la Posada del Tepozteco is today a Tepoztlán landmark infused with mysticism, art and nature. Architect and landscape designer Santiago Camarena, originally envisioned a place that would highlight the nature that the writer loved so much, and where she could cultivate her creativity. Margarita often hosted artists and characters such as Diego Rivera, Rufino Tamayo, Cordelia Urueta, and David Alfaro Siqueiros in this house.
With an unparalleled panoramic view of the Tepozteco mountain, an Aztec pyramid and the ex-convent of La Natividad, this space surrounded by lush trees and flowers sparks both creativity and contemplation. It’s also a place for self-discovery and relaxation where you can experience a temazcal bath infused with Mexican medicinal herbs that purify the body and spirit.
